What sets us apart
All About Us
Aekta Media represents what remains when you remove everything superfluous.
In a time when images are becoming ever faster and louder, aekta media follows a different approach: real stories, real people, and real places. Not staged for the sake of impact, but told with respect, calm, and precision.
The name "Aekta" derives from the Nordic word for "authentic." It describes not an aesthetic, but an attitude. Observing instead of reshaping. Listening before telling. Films emerge from intimacy and trust - not from preconceived notions.
Aekta Media focuses on outdoor activities, sports, and expeditions because that's where the essence becomes visible: when people push their limits, when nature isn't just a backdrop, but a constant presence.
The visual language is minimalist and cinematic. Every shot has meaning, every story space. Not loud, but clear. Not perfect, but truthful.
Aekta Media is a professional film production company with a documentary core. High-quality craftsmanship, understated style, honest in its ambition.
What remains is trust - in the story, the image, and the moment.
That's me
The guy behind Aekta Media
I'm Björn Rieger - a filmmaker and photographer with a special eye for moving stories. For over five years, I've been producing films and photographic projects that honestly portray people, places, and moments.
My work spans documentary, brand film, and music video - always with a clear focus on the outdoors, sports, and movement. I'm interested in stories where people have to act: in the process, on the ground, in the moment.
With Aekta Media, I want to create films that don't need to explain to be effective. Minimalist in form, honest in their ambition, close to the people, close to the places, close to reality. I work on a project basis - sometimes alone, sometimes in small teams, often in larger teams together with well-known freelancers - always with the goal of building trust: in the stories, in the people in front of the camera, and in the final product.
